Landscape Foreman
We are a busy and growing hardscape landscaping company based out of the North Shore. We are currently looking for a full-time Landscaper foreman who is dependable, with excellent work ethic and strong communication skills. Attention to detail, willingness to learn and a positive work attitude are a must.
Experience in building retaining walls, paving stones, planting, fencing (or carpentry), turf installation, grading, and machine operation are an asset.
Job sites are mostly on the North Shore, but also throughout the lower mainland. Must have own transportation to and from sites.

Landscape Labourer
True North Landscaping is looking for reliable, hardworking, SOFTSCAPE and HARDSCAPE LABOURERS. Any experience in lawn installations, lawn and garden drainage, irrigation & landscape lighting, fencing, patio and path installs, retaining walls, paving stones, decks, garden installations and renovations, and material installation such as soil, mulch and gravels are an asset.

Hours: Monday to Friday; Full-time (rain or shine) or Part-Time Monday to Saturday
$18-22 per hour (based on experience) with opportunity for growth and placement in a Foreman position

Summary:
The Softscape and Hardscape Labourer is responsible for assisting in a variety of job tasks (generally physical labor) in the completion of landscape projects, including but not limited to the installation of fencing, decks, paving stone patios and pathways, retaining walls, and real or artificial turf, as well as planting.

Job Duties:
-Assist in the preparation of job sites prior to the beginning of a project
-Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other necessary equipment to complete job tasks
-Plant trees and shrubs
-Cart and spread topsoil and other required materials
-Lay sod or artifical lawn
-Move and transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies and manual lifting
-Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments, shop and equipment
-Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis
-Perform land clearing activities
-Plant garden beds and install lawns
-Drive truck with trailer to pick up and drop off material
-Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects
-Assist foreman and lead-hand with job-related tasks
-Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
-Comply with all company policies and regulations
-Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
-Clean up or tidy job site at the end of each day
Requirements:
-Capable of learning how to operate required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
-Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
-Time management skills
-Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
-Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
-Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
-A valid driver's license and safe driving record
Work Conditions:
-Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
-Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment
-Requires good manual dexterity
-Excellent stamina is required
-Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
-Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
-Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work
